Andrew Nicholson and Swallow springs complete their dressage and finish with a reasonable score of 27.8 . This is Swallow Springs first Badminton so we caught up with them to find out how it went.
How do feel your dressage went?
I thought it was very good, he gets better all the time. He is quite a sensitive horse but he knows in the arena to do his job. He feels stronger than he did last year and he felt very calm in there so it’s good for the future.
What does it mean to you to compete at Badminton?
Its the main event of the year for me, it’s the place to come to. Its high powered stuff and it gives you a real buzz! You either go home very happy or very sad!
With the cross country tomorrow what are your thoughts going into it?
I am looking forward to it! I think it’s difficult, I think you have to ride all the way and that the time will be hard to get. I think its very much a riders course and you have to know your horse and know what you are riding.
